Admissions
Apply for your place early in the year to avoid disappointment.
Places will be offered in the following priority:
- Children in Public Care – a looked-after child
- A child or their family member who may have medical or social needs
- A sibling who currently attends Grinling Gibbons Primary
- Children living closest to the school
Once you have submitted your application, Lewisham Admissions will contact you to advise you of the outcome. If you have been assigned a place at Grinling Gibbons Primary School we will contact you with a date and time for either a home visit (Reception applicants) or a meeting with our Head of School and Inclusion Officer (Years 1 and above) at which point all relevant documentation must be produced.
For the Nursery you can apply directly through the school; application forms are available at the school office and once the application is submitted your child will then be placed on our waiting list until a place becomes available. The following criteria are followed:
- Children in Public Care – a looked-after child
- A child or their family member who may have medical or social needs
- Age – any child over 4 will be given priority over 3 year olds
- Lewisham residents
For both school and nursery places we will ask for a copy of your child’s long birth certificate and proof of address (i.e. council tax bill or tenancy agreement).
